IVETA currently has the following positions on the Executive Board vacant:

  • Vice President East Europe and Central Asia
  • Vice President Latin America and the Caribbean
  • Vice President Middle East and North Africa
  • Executive Director

Role statements:

Vice Presidents - Vice Presidents must:

  • Be an Association member of good standing for at least one year prior to the nomination date
  • Be prepared to fulfil the functions of the office and attend Association meetings
  • Represent the IVETA regions and report on significant issues relevant to TVET and IVETA’s objectives.  Vice Presidents must live within the region they represent.
  • Maintain connections with IVETA members and encourage new memberships
  • Represent and promote IVETA within their regions
  • Be responsible for the effective functioning of IVETA National/Regional Offices where these exist in their regions
  • Initiate and maintain professional contacts within and between regions
  • Submit items to the President for the Hot Line on a quarterly basis
  • Attend regional and international conferences of IVETA where feasible
  • Recruit, support and mentor Country Liaison Officers in their region where appropriate.
  • The Vice President North America is responsible for liaison with the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) and for recommending any related joint activities or partnerships between IVETA and ACTE

Executive Director – The Executive Director must:

  • Be an Association member of good standing for at least one year prior to the nomination date
  • Be prepared to fulfil the functions of the office and attend Association meetings
  • Have relevant qualifications and experience as determined by the Executive Committee from time to time
  • Support the President-Elect to review and update the Constitution and by-laws to ensure they are aligned and current and make recommendations to the President for any changes
  • Support the President-elect to oversee the Micro Grant Program, including ensuring guidelines are up to date and meet IVETA objectives, overseeing assessment of applications and ensuring reports on outcomes are provided and are publicized on the IVETA website
  • Oversee, review and be accountable for partnership agreements, contracts with National/Regional Offices and for arrangements with Country Liaison Officers and provide advice to the Executive Committee about whether they are continuing to meet objectives
  • Review and maintain all other IVETA policies, programs, agreements and contracts to ensure they are meeting objectives and make recommendations for any changes
